INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL ACCOUNTS

8220

The Board authorizes the maintenance of appropriate individual school accounts.

8220.1

The Board shall appoint a treasurer for each school upon the recommendation of the superintendent.

8220.2

The principal shall be responsible for proper administration of financial activities of the school in accordance with provisions of law and appropriate accounting practices and procedures.

8220.3

All monies collected at the individual school level shall be deposited and transferred to the system finance officer.

8220.4

All monies transferred from the individual school to the finance officer shall be deposited in the official depository of the school system to the credit of the individual school.

8220.5

Each payment made at the individual school level shall be made on a check signed by both the principal and school treasurer.

8220.6

Monies raised by student organizations shall be expended for the benefit of students.

8220.7

End-of-year reserves shall be limited to amounts estimated as necessary to begin the following year's operations.
