RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

It shall be the policy of the Board that a continuous system of
recruitment and selection of personnel be maintained in order to assure
competent candidates for vacancies as needed. |

Vacancies in support positions will be filled by
the most competent applicants available and in accordance with equal
opportunity employment requirements. |

Candidates for employment will be selected on the

The Board shall make positive efforts to recruit
and employ qualified disabled individuals. |

School personnel are expected to be role models for
our students. Accordingly, candidates for employment are expected to abide by
the law and are expected to comply with the school district Code of Ethics. All information provided by an applicant for employment
or by an employee to the Human Resources Office must be true, accurate, and complete.
Applicants and employees are required to continuously update their
application with current and correct information. |

When in the best interest of the school district
because of exigent circumstances, the associate superintendent for human
resources may permit new personnel to begin work temporarily prior to board
approval. This shall be with the understanding that continued employment is
contingent upon board approval. |
