End-of-Grade and End-of-Course Test Dates
The North Carolina End-of-Grade (EOG) tests are administered to all students in grades 3-8 statewide at the end of the school year to assess whether they are making adequate progress.
The North Carolina End-of-Course (EOC) tests are administered to students to assess their knowledge of subject-related concepts as specified in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Currently, students enrolled in the following courses are required to take the EOC tests: Algebra I, Algebra II, Biology, Chemistry, Civics and Economics, English I, Geometry, Physical Science, Physics, and U.S. History.

EOC – Last two weeks of the course
