WCPSS Holds International Family Conference on May 7

May 3, 2011 - The Wake County Public School System will hold the first K-12 International Family Conference, “Emerging Leaders,” from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 at Millbrook Magnet High School located at 2201 Spring Forest Road in Raleigh.

Parents and students will find workshops for Kindergarten to grade 12. The objective is to provide parents with the educational tools to better support their children in reaching academic success, to graduate on time, and to pursue a higher education.

Some of the topics include:

Interpretation will be provided in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Korean, and Spanish.

The English as a Second Language Department of Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) and the Wake Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) Council will sponsor the conference.
