People may register online to participate in the community workshops . There will be on-site registration the night of the event beginning at 6 p.m.

School administrators from the Growth and Planning Department will provide a brief introduction to 2011-12 school assignment issues. Participants and administrators will then take part in small group discussions. The discussions will be focused on the assignment plan for Walnut Creek Elementary; overcrowding concerns for schools projected to be at or above 112 percent crowding; and Traditional Calendar Application changes for 2011-12.

The information gathered by WCPSS Growth and Planning staff will be used in developing a proposal to be presented to the Wake County Board of Education for review and approval.
