Modifications to School Board Public Comment Sign up

August 5, 2010 - Several changes are being made to the process for signing up for public comment at Wake County School Board meetings. These modifications will be implemented beginning Tuesday, Aug 10.

Speakers will no longer be asked for their address when signing up – only the name of their town or city.

Individuals holding a seating voucher will be asked to provide the voucher number on the public comment sign-up sheet. The voucher number will assist staff in locating the speaker in the event that over-flow seating is being used.

These changes are in an effort to make signing up for public comment faster, more efficient and equitable.
