Rosa GillThis is Gill’s second one-year term as chair. She is the first African-American chair of the school board in 30 years. She has been the lone African-American on the nine-member board since her election in 1999.

“Your dedication and willingness to not just do things right, but to do things the right way are very evident,” said Gill. “I am committed to support the work of this team in any way that I can during the next year. I believe with all my heart that our children, our employees and our citizens are worth our team’s effort.”
