Success Series Can Help Students Prepare for EOCs
December 10, 2007 - End-of-Course testing is just around the corner, so now is the time for students to review their course material. The Wake County Public School System has a unique set of instructional videos available to help students with their studies. The Success Series is a collection of videos taught by experienced WCPSS high school mathematics teachers and is available online and on DVD.
The Success Series offers instruction in Algebra 1 and 2, AP Calculus, AP Statistics and Geometry. Students can review at their own pace from home, their school's media center or anywhere they have internet access. If they contact their teacher, students can borrow the DVDs to watch at home.
"It is an excellent vehicle to support the review conducted by our high school math teachers throughout the county,” said Athena Kellogg, WCPSS senior administrator for high school mathematics. “Students can review at their own pace and study just one topic or virtually the entire course."
More Success Series courses will be added soon. Kellogg said they hope to have Biology added this month, and U.S. History and Civics/Economics will be added in the spring.
