Certified copies of birth records are now issued downtown from the same building that houses the Wake County Register of Deeds. Please complete application on the counter and present the Kindergarten Registration form letter to waive $10 fee (Includes Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, and initial enrollment in a Wake County Public School). We will need to see your driver’s license or DMV photo ID. If you do not bring the Kindergarten Registration form letter, you will have to pay the $10 fee with cash or check; credit cards are not accepted.
Hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
