Active Learning & Technology

Theme Essentials

Program designed for 21st Century skills acquisition through:

  1. Extensive opportunities to enhance learning through a variety of technology
  2. Study includes five focus areas for community interaction: visual arts, dance, drama, music, and physical education
  3. Emphasis on effective communication skills including Spanish as a second language
  4. Active, hands-on project-based learning modules

Hot Topics

  • Visit Millbrook Magnet HS and explore the International Baccalaureate Programme at Open House on November 18th at 9:00 am or 7:00 pm
  • Join us for parent information sessions at 10AM on the first and third Tuesdays from Sept - Feb at the Magnet Resource Center.
  • Many magnet schools have holiday concerts and performances in December, followed by another round of open house events in January. Visit individual school websites or call for more info!

  • Reduce high concentrations of poverty and support diverse populations
  • Maximize use of school facilities
  • Provide expanded educational opportunities
