Theme Description

  1. Located on Wake Technical Community College’s Health Sciences Campus
  2. Course offerings focused around the theme of health an science careers
  3. Small school setting and a personalized learning experience
  4. Students simultaneously fulfill requirements for a high school diploma and a two-year associate degree with Wake Technical Community College

 

Hot Topics

  • Visit Millbrook Magnet HS and explore the International Baccalaureate Programme at Open House on November 18th at 9:00 am or 7:00 pm
  • Join us for parent information sessions at 10AM on the first and third Tuesdays from Sept - Feb at the Magnet Resource Center.
  • Many magnet schools have holiday concerts and performances in December, followed by another round of open house events in January. Visit individual school websites or call for more info!

Objectives

Magnet Programs will be used to foster healthy schools throughout the Wake County Public School System by using choice to help:

  • Reduce high concentrations of poverty and support diverse populations
  • Maximize use of school facilities
  • Provide expanded educational opportunities
