- Emphasis on 21st Century leadership development and character development based on principles of Dr. Stephen Covey (7 Habits of Highly Effective People)
- Focus on personal and academic goal setting, individual initiative and responsibility, and participation in service learning
- Located on NCSU Centennial Campus
- Instruction enhanced by support from NCSU’s ten colleges
- Instruction supported through the connecting Friday Institute

- Join us for parent information sessions at 10AM on the first and third Tuesdays from Sept - Feb at the Magnet Resource Center.
- Visit magnet elementary schools during open house on November 12th. Information sessions and tours at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
- Visit magnet middle schools during open house on November 17th. Information sessions and tours at 9:00 am and 12:00 pm

Objectives
Magnet Programs will be used to foster healthy schools throughout the Wake County Public School System by using choice to help:
- Reduce high concentrations of poverty and support diverse populations
- Maximize use of school facilities
- Provide expanded educational opportunities
