Change For Katrina Campaign

Vandora Springs Elementary School is sponsoring a Change for Katrina Campaign from September 19-28. Students, families, and staff are asked to collect their change for a week and place in a decorated bag. Classes will then turn their money to the office and see how many water jugs we can fill up through the campaign. Teachers are going to use this campaign to discuss various character traits and talk about the importance of helping others in need. Lessons on weather and preparation for natural disasters are also planned in various grade levels. Classes will practice their math skills while counting the money.
