Olds Elementary has been working on three efforts to help Katrina families in need. The school sent toys and books to a shelter area earlier in the month. The school is also collecting money for Wake Kids for Katrina through September 23.
In addition, the school will be working directly with a school hard hit by the hurricane in October.
