Project PetChow

Runs: September 10

FVHS is also collecting pet food, toys, cages, and kennels in conjunction with NCSU's Project PetChow - please bring all donations to Room 211 or bring them directly to the Kmart parking lot on Western Boulevard in Raleigh between 11 am and 5 pm on Saturday, September 10th. Kmart is offering a 10% discount on all pet products that day as well.

NCSU's Companion Animal Club is sponsoring Project PetChow, a fundraiser for pet food & supplies to help the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina. Their group is partnering with some of the shelters in Louisiana (& the surrounding areas) & will be driving the supplies themselves (with some help, of course) directly to the areas/shelters in need.

Many of the shelters that are helping the people are NOT permitting their pets and therefore, hundreds of animals have been displaced to temporary shelter until they can be reclaimed by their owners. The organizations that are helping with these shelters are in DIRE need of supplies to keep the animals fed, comfortable, etc. until they can be reunited with their parents.
