To show compassion for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Centennial Campus Middle School student leaders have launched a relief campaign entitled, “Linking to Louisiana.”
The campaign will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and conclude at the school dance on Friday, Sept. 16.
Students are encouraged to bring in monetary donations. With each dollar that is donated, the student will be given four links from their Academic Advisor teacher. Each link represents 25 cents. The links will be put together and hung around the school. The Academic Advisor team with the most links, wins a pizza party!! Random raffles will also be held for students in the second, third, and fourth place teams.
Checks should be made to the American Red Cross with the words, “Katrina Relief” on the memo line. Cash will also be accepted. All contributions should be given during to the Academic Advisor teacher.
