Intervention Resources
Elementary and Middle School Intervention Resources
Positions are allotted to elementary and middle schools to help schools provide supplementary academic interventions to students who are performing below grade level in reading and math in grades 3-8. Elementary schools may also use this resource along with other school-based resources, to serve students in grades K-2 as long as the needs of students in grades 3-5 are being met. Programs at schools can take place during the school day, or can be Out of School Time programs, such as after school or Saturday tutorials. Parents should check with school administrators to learn more about the Intervention Plan for their school.
High School Intervention Coordinator
The goal of the Intervention Coordinator is to provide a means for schools to better serve students who are performing below grade level and who are at-risk of school failure. The Intervention Coordinator is responsible for coordinating academic support, remediation, and/or resources for at-risk students. In addition, a primary responsibility of the Intervention Coordinator is to ensure that student accountability policies and procedures are followed for all 9th grade students promoted with interventions. This includes the development and monitoring of Personal Education Plans (PEP).
