Hispanic/Latino Outreach Services
Hispanic/Latino Outreach Services seeks to provide outreach activities and programs for Hispanic/ Latino families, help Hispanic/Latino families better access school and community resources, and collaborate with other agencies working with the Hispanic/Latino population in Wake County. Additional Responsibilities of Hispanic/Latino Outreach include
- Providing leadership for teachers on how to better educate/ connect with the Hispanic/ Latino community.
- Assessing the needs of Wake County Public Schools with regard to the Hispanic/ Latino community.
- Serving as a liaison for Hispanic/ Latino families at local, regional, state, and national workshops, institutes, and conferences.
- Designing, developing, and delivering staff development for school improvement.
- Coordinating with all available local and community resources to create a support system that better serves Hispanic/ Latino students in the public schools.
- Coordinating and connecting all departments serving specifically Hispanic/ Latino students within the public school system.
- Involving Hispanic/ Latino parents in the educational process on a county level
