About Us
The Elementary Science Department provides guidance, staff development, and recommends resources to teachers to support them as they implement the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Science. The Science curriculum is organized into four strands:
- Nature of Science
- Science as Inquiry
- Science and Technology
- Science in Personal and Social Perspectives
There are four goals specific to each grade level that include objectives for life, physical and earth sciences.
