  • Wake County Public School System will provide a relevant and engaging education and will graduate students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators and critical thinkers.


    Through best practices, a shared vision, a culture of continuous improvement and exposure to the fields of health and sciences, students will graduate with a high school diploma and have the opportunity to earn an associate degree, health sciences diploma, or certificate from Wake Technical Community College.

    The Early College application is available for the 2017-2018 school year.  Apply now!


    Families interested in applying for WECHS in 17-18 can sign up for an information session with Ms. Schupbach. Go to Magnet Tours and Events in the Application Information section under Our School


    Open House for rising 9th graders interested in WECHS for the 2017-18 school year is November 15th at 6:30 p.m.  No sign up is needed!  We currently have NO slots for rising 10th graders.


    Monday, October 31st is now a regular school day for traditional schools.  WECHS regular bus routes will run on this day.


    Interested in playing women's basketball at Enloe?  Conditioning, training and open gym are scheduled now with tryouts on October 31st.  Information packets are available in the PHS office.  All athletes must have an updated physical on file before tryouts.  See this link for more information.


    PHS Campus Honor Roll Breakfast will be held on Friday, October 28th in the Lounge.  The PTSA is asking families to volunteer their time and to donate breakfast items.  Here is the sign up link:


    The dates for the NCDAP college placement tests are November 1-3rd, 2016.  There are two testing groups per day and each sophomore will test for both Math and English on two separate days. Students please check your test dates on the mint green rosters hung up in the classroom hallway. Contact Mrs. Rodems if you have any questions.


    There will be an NCDAP English review session with Ms. Eagle and Ms. Christensen on Tuesday, October 25th from 2:15 - 3:15 p.m.  Sign ups are on the door of Room 221. 


    World Cultures Club will meet on Tuesday, October 25th in Mrs. Piner's room.  The country is Japan.  Don't forget to sign up to bring something.


    There will be an Art Club meeting today - Halloween edition in Ms. Lupher's room!


    There will be a meeting after school today for WECHS American Red Cross members in Ms. Hill's room.  This meeting is a make up session from Fall Break.  We will discuss upcoming volunteer and certification opportunities.  See Mrs. Hill with any questions.


    Order your WECHS Pride Yearbook today!   The cost is $45.00 now and $55.00 after the holiday break in December.  We do not order extra yearbooks.  Get yours now to ensure you will have one at the end of the year.  Order forms are available outside the main office or you may use the link:


    HOSA is participating in a toothbrush drive for the Poe Center for Health Education through Wednesday, October 26th.   If you bring in 3 toothbrushes, you will be entered into a drawing to win 2 free movie passes.  The winning school will be featured on the Poe Center website and newsletter.  See Mrs. Hill with questions.


    Ready to start holiday shopping? Please join us on Saturday, November 5th from 6-10 am for a private shopping experience at the annual Belk Charity Sale at Belk Crabtree.  Tickets are $5 each and are available in the Guidance office.  WECHS PTSA will be working at Belk, so come and say hello!  We hope to see you there!
