High School Exit: Where can I find out more about the High School Exit Standards?

Students who enter ninth grade for the first time in 2006-07 and beyond will be required to meet new exit standards. Students must demonstrate proficiency on the following EOCs: Algebra I, Biology, Civics and Economics, English I, and U.S. History.

Students must also complete a Graduation Project and demonstrate proficiency on the North Carolina Online Computer Skills Test. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI) produced a document with information on eligibility, graduation project requirements, assessment requirements, retesting, remediation, and review process.
