CategoriesDepartment |
At the end of the year grades 3 through 8 students take the state's End-of-Grade (EOG) tests in reading and mathematics and grades 5 & 8 students take Science. In grades 9 through 12, End-of-Course (EOC) tests are given to students in eight selected courses: Algebra I, English I, Biology, Geometry, Algebra II, U.S. History, Civics & Economics, and Physical Science. Students in grade 10 also take a Writing test every March. All of these tests are based on the Standard Course of Study, which is the official statewide curriculum created by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
