Because of the projected steady increase in enrollment and the continued need to repair and renovate existing schools, WCPSS must maintain a long-term capital improvement program. The proposed PLAN 2004 is one segment of that long-term program.
All Wake County schools will be affected by PLAN 2004 – either directly or indirectly – even if they aren’t listed in the actual plan. PLAN 2004 will ease the overflow of students from other schools by building new schools and renovating others.
If your school isn’t listed, chances are it received work in previous programs or will be a part of the next building plan. Also, look beyond your current school and see what is proposed for the school or schools you will attend in the future.
