The Wake County Board of Education set goals and assumptions, such as reducing crowding and striking a balance between investment in new and existing schools; studied data, including the County’s enrollment and demographic projections, and consultants’ and staff’s evaluations of existing buildings; and prioritized needs by health and safety, life cycle repairs, capacity gains, and program needs.
