Who is eligible for Long-Term care Benefits?

Employees permanent full-time or permanent part-time (50% and greater) are eligible.



Your traditional health plan covers only skilled care, not custodial care.



Long-Term Care Benefits provide coverage for nursing home care, home health care, and care received in assisted living facilities.



A pamphlet is in your new employee packet.



MedAmerica is the administrator of the plan.

Premiums are prorated based on your months of employment. The exception is year-round school employees.



Premium rates are calculated as follows:

10 month employees traditional school 10 month rate

10 month employees traditional school electing 12 month pay 10 month rate

10 month employees year round school 12 month rate

11 month employees traditional school 11 month rate

11 month employees traditional school electing 12 month pay 11 month rate

11 month employees year round school 12 month rate

12 month employees 12 month rate
