Booklet is located in your new employee packet.
Watch the year listed on the front page of the booklet. 2000 booklet is for premium deductions: September 2000 through August 2001. 2001 booklet is for premium deductions: September 2001 through August 2002. New booklets are published by August 1st each year. New rates will not be known until that time. Premiums are listed at a 12-month rate (monthly).
Information and rates are listed on the back of “Look What Benefits Wake County Public School System Has to Offer”. Note the school year listed for rates. Current year rates may not have been available.
Note: The following two items concerning Health Maintenance Organizations are not applicable for the 2001- 2002 school year:
1. All the plans offered are Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) except the State of North Carolina Comprehensive Major Medical Plan.
2. If an HMO is selected, a doctor from the plans’ individual directory must be listed on the enrollment form in order for the form to be processed. School secretaries or department heads will have a doctor’s directory for each carrier. Information can be obtained by calling the 1-800 number listed on the back of the 2000 IT’S YOUR CHOICE booklet. Additional assistance is available with the insurance technicians located in the WCPSS payroll office. You may elect to visit the payroll office for assistance.
