How far can I expect my child to walk to the bus stop?

Elementary school students can expect to walk up to three-tenths (.3) of a mile and secondary students can walk up to five-tenths (.5) of a mile to the bus stop. Students who live within one and one-half (1 1/2) miles of the school are located in the walk zone and transportation is generally not provided.
