Information on a student’s school assignment can be found on the WCPSS website at http://www.wcpss.net/growth-management/assignment.html

or by calling the Growth and Planning Department at (919) 850-1921, or the Customer Service Center at (919) 850-1600, or by contacting any nearby school. The parent or court-appointed custodian should take the following items directly to the student’s assigned school regardless of the grade level of the student. The same information is needed for enrollment of new kindergarten students.

• Proof of address in the form of a recently dated electric, gas or water bill OR a newly signed lease agreement in the name of the parent or court-appointed custodian. (A telephone bill, cable television bill or a driver’s license WILL NOT be accepted as proof of residence.)

• A certified copy of the child’s birth certificate,

• Immunization record, and

• A copy of the most recent report card or school transcript (if available).
