MAGNET PROGRAM: What is an Intent Form?

An Intent Form is distributed each year to a student eligible to return to a magnet or calendar-option school the following year. The form provides the opportunity for a parent to enroll siblings who are entering Kindergarten, Grade 6 or Grade 9 before consideration is given to any new applicants.
Magnet Program students in grades K-4, 6-7 and 9-12 do not need to apply every year in order to remain in their magnet school; the Intent Form serves as the Magnet/Calendar-Option Application. However, Magnet Program students in the fifth and eighth grades must apply to continue the Magnet Program in middle and high school.
