ENROLLMENT: How do I enroll if I have just moved to Wake County?

First, find the school assignment for your address. This can be done by:
• Looking on the WCPSS website under the Growth and Planning Department, Student Assignment Finder section and following the directions there;
• Going to any school and checking the current street directory; or
• Visiting the Office of Student Assignment at Crossroads I, at 5625 Dillard Drive, Cary, NC 27518 and asking Staff who will refer to the current street directory.
After the school assignment is confirmed, call the school to make an appointment to register your child(ren). You will need to take the following when you go to the school to register:
• Proof of your residence (Examples: recently dated electric, gas or water bill OR a newly signed lease agreement in the name of the parent or court-appointed custodian. A telephone bill, cable television bill or a driver’s license WILL NOT qualify as proof of residence.)
• A certified copy of the child’s birth certificate.
• Immunization records.
• A copy of the most recent report card or school transcript (if available).
