In support of the mission of the Evaluation and Research Department (E&R), the School Accountability office seeks to improve the effectiveness of WCPSS for all students by:
Providing objective, accurate, and timely information on system and state mandated test results;
- Collaborating with others at the central office and in schools to ensure high-quality collection, interpretation, and data-based decision making.
In keeping with the commitment of WCPSS to continuous improvement and accountability, and in accordance with state mandates, the school accountability team keeps abreast of current legislation such as No Child Left Behind. The team also provides interpretation and training to school and central office based staff.
