General Announcements -


->  Important information for all students!   As of Wednesday, March 15, we have switched over to a new system to log into email, Canvas, and WCPSS Google Drive.  This means that you must use the portal website before you use these applications (see the PCHS home page!)  Your Powerschool logins remain the same!
 
->  AP Exams Info Sessions will be held on Wednesday., April 26 (SMART Lunch A) & Thursday, April 27 (SMART Lunch B) in Room 2613.  Any questions or concerns about the upcoming AP exams, please stop by.
 
->  Anyone taking the AB Calculus test can come for review on Mondays from 2:30-3:30 on Monday, April 24 & May 1 in Room 2504.
  
->  AP Chemistry Exam Review Sessions (For 1st Semester AP Chemistry Students):  Thursday, April 27 during SMART Lunch in Room 2614.
 
->  “Who ya gonna call” for a 5 on the A.P. Lit. Exam? Mrs. Pedersen & Mr. Andrews 
  • Multiple Choice Review: Lunch A & B on Mon., Apr. 24 in Rm. 1508.
  • Timed-Writing Review:  Lunch A & B on Thur., Apr. 27 in Rm. 2506.
Primarily for 1st sem. A.P. Lit. students,but current students are welcome! 
 
->  AP Physics 1 Review on Thursdays during SMART Lunch A/B on April 27, 2017 and after school 2:30 - 3:15 p.m. on April 26 and April 27 both times in Room 2512.
 
->  AP Physics 2 Review  on Tuesday, April 25 both Lunch & after school from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.  Sessions will be the same at lunch and after school – only need to attend one session.  
 
->  AP Psych Review begins Monday, April 3 in Room M2-11 at 2:30 p.m.  We will meet each Tuesday and Thursday. 
 
->  Mrs. Budzinski’s AP Human Geography exam review on Mondays during SMART Lunch A & B in Room M2-11.
 
->  AP Spanish Literature review sessions every week in April on:  Mondays after school (2:30-3:30);  Thursdays SMART Lunch A.  Test Date:   Tuesday, May 9 @ noon.
 
->  Mrs. Leininger’s APUSH Exam Study Sessions: 

SMART Lunch A & B Mondays:

     - Period 7 & 8:    Apr.  24

     - Period 9 and wrap-up:   May 1

Small group tutoring sessions   available upon request – see Mrs. L. for arrangements.

 
 
->  AP Art History review on Wednesday!  Specifically:  April 26 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. in Room 1611.
 
->  Volunteers Needed!!  Mills Park Elementary Spring Carnival on Saturday, May 6 at Mills Park Elementary School.

-> PCHS Recycling Information -  The Environmental Club members will be coming around to collect recycling on the following schedule:
  • Tuesdays – SMART Lunch – Bottles
  • Tuesdays – After School – Collecting paper in the main building
  • Wednesdays – Collecting paper in the modular buildings
Please remember to place bins in the hallway!

-> Need help with a writing assignment?   The Panther Creek Writing Center is now open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during SMART Lunch A in Room 1504. No appointment necessary!  Come by and have a writing conference with one of our staff members.  We can help with writing in all classes.

->  International Festival on April 26, 2017 from 6;00 - 8:00 p.m.  at PCHS.  Free food and admission!  
 
->  Current NHS members - Meeting on  Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the PCHS Auditorium from 2:30 - 3:15 p.m.  Juniors - will have elections for next year’s officers.

->  Armed Services Career Assessment (ASVAB) - Rescheduled for Monday, May 8!  Sign up in Student Services before Monday, May 1!
 
->  Note in the Pocket Teen Board Internship - Non-profit organization that provides clothing to Wake County Students in Need. Eligible if you are a High School Student (rising 10th-12th) with a passion for community service.  Develop leadership skills! Learn About Non-Profit Operations!  Coordinate volunteer activities.  Applications due by April 25.  Stop by Student Services TODAY to pick up more information!

 

->  Seniors....  Please turn in your admission letters to Colleges and Universities and scholarship letters to Student Services.  Our scholarship goal this year is 6.5 million!
