Wiley offers Beginning Band and Continuing Band through its PTA to students in grades 3-5. The bands meet before school on Wiley’s campus for rehearsal, and each band gives at least three performances per year on campus. The Continuing Band and band alumni play out in the community in area coffee shops, retirement homes, and art festivals. The band wraps up its year with a spring show in a concert hall off campus. Wiley’s Band Director is Christina Thompson.

The goal of the Go Green Club is to encourage participants to become sustainability leaders within their school and community. The club is operated by the Wiley PTA and is free for all students. The Go Green Club meets Friday mornings from 8-8:45 am.
Club activities fall in the areas of saving energy, conserving water, recycling or using resources efficiently, improving indoor air quality, and improving our school site and the natural environment. So far we have held the Wiley Big Sweep to pick up litter around campus, made signs to help protect our Prairie Garden, created a video about the importance of trees, and made ornaments out of items from the recycle bin and trash. Right now we are working on energy conservation with our Blackout Wednesday challenge and on creating a book about the water we use. Learn more at gogreenwiley.weebly.com
