Ms. Collins
Kim Collins is ready for an amazing year in fourth grade at Hortons Creek Elementary School. She is originally from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. She earned a bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education at Gardner Webb University. Ms. Collins has taught third, fourth and fifth grade throughout her teaching career, but fourth grade is her absolute favorite grade! She is passionate about building relationships with all her students, having fun in the classroom, and creating engaging, real-world lessons for her students. Outside of the classroom Ms. Collins loves to spend time with her family, Ray, Danny and their dog Harley! -
Ms. Fairbrother
Mrs. Fairbrother is so excited to join the Hortons Creek Family! She was born in Texas, and spent her childhood moving all around the United States. She moved to Cary from South Florida this summer with her husband and two kids. She has taught 3rd and 4th grade, and is so excited to be back in fourth! It’s is her favorite! She loves to play guitar and ukulele when she isn’t at school. She believes firmly that positive relationships in the classroom will help to build a strong class family, and promote more valuable educational opportunities for her students.

Ms. Lynch
Megan Lynch is a fourth grade teacher at Hortons Creek Elementary. She is a graduate of UNC Greensboro and has 7 years of experience in grades K-2, but found a new-found passion for fourth grade last year. She is passionate about equity in education and creating an environment in which all students work to their full potential. She loves to travel and enjoys cooking and hiking. More than anything, she believes #togetherisbetter

Ms. Malpas
Miss Malpas is so excited for a wonderful year in 4th grade. She is originally from New Jersey and earned her master's degree in elementary education from The College of New Jersey. Miss Malpas is looking forward to meeting all of her new students and creating great memories with them this year!

Ms. Roy
Anindita Roy is married and mother of a high schooler and a middle schooler and settled with her family in North Carolina since 2018. She is in her seventh year as an educator, which includes teaching in elementary and high schools in India and the United States. She possesses a Master of Science degree in Inorganic Chemistry and a Bachelor of Education from India. She also received a MAT (Master’s in Arts in Teaching) for Elementary Education from North Carolina State University. Mrs. Roy is a hardworking, dedicated educator and ambassador for the all-inclusive classroom environment. Her personal hobbies include traveling, dancing, painting, and spending time with her family. Most importantly, she always believes what Carter G. Woodson once said, “For me, education means to inspire people to live more abundantly, to learn to begin with life as they find it and make it better.”
