Coach Brady: I am a K-12 Certified Health and Physical Education Teacher and have been teaching since 2000. I spent my first five years teaching Health and Athletic Training classes in High School and have been teaching Elementary PE since 2005. I love learning new things and find physical activity to be vitally important in my life. When not teaching at school, I can usually be found teaching fitness class, rock climbing, or paddleboarding on Jordan Lake. As a Physical Education Teacher, I hope to help students find a passion for physical activity. I enjoy working with students helping them to discover and develop new talents. I try to create an environment where students can experience new activities and make them more efficient movers.

Media Specialist - Rachel Schaefer — rschaefer@wcpss.net — Website — Twitter, Clerical Assistant: Aimee Bryce
Mrs. Schaefer: Hello! I look forward to working with our White Oak community! I was born and raised in Raleigh—it is a joy to return to WCPSS now as a media specialist. I received BA’s in Global Studies and Spanish at Appalachian State University—much of my heart still lies in the NC mountains. Since moving back to the Triangle, I earned my MS in Library Science at UNC Chapel Hill. Books have always been a love of mine, and I have the fondest memories exploring the shelves of my local library as a child (especially the Nancy Drew section!). Libraries have totally transformed since then, and now more than ever embody discovery of knowledge, and not only through books—the opportunities are endless with technology and “making.” I have absolutely found my home in libraries, creating and exploring. I cannot wait to share this love with the White Oak Explorers!

I have previously taught in Wake County at East Garner Elementary and have found my new teaching home at White Oak Elementary! Music - Amanda Schreiner — ameliosky@wcpss.net — Website - Twitter
Mrs. Schreiner: Greetings Explorers! I have always loved music- making it, listening to it and sharing it with others and making music with our students at White Oak is just the best!
I love to sing and play instruments, the clarinet being the one that I have played the longest. (Since I was 10!) I started teaching music in upstate NY, where I am from, and I taught there for five years- elementary music, band, orchestra, chorus and instrument lessons. In 2015, I moved to North Carolina to work with the North Carolina Symphony! I loved being a part of the action - programming concerts, working with the artists and getting to see the beautiful state of North Carolina. I couldn’t stay away from the classroom for too long though and returned in 2018.
I am so excited to be a part of the White Oak family and I am looking forward to a great year. When I am not making music, I love spending time with my husband Adam and two daughters; Elise and Caroline and, of course, cooking up something yummy.Degrees/Certifications: Master of Music and Bachelor of Music from The Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY
