- The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) continues to grow
at a rapid pace. There were 5,930 more students enrolled at 20th
day in 2007-2008 than in 2006-2007. The 2007-2008 enrollment of
134,002 makes WCPSS the largest school system in North Carolina
