Character Education
About Us
The Office of Character Education supports schools by coordinating and distributing materials and resources that can be used to integrate character education into all aspects of the curriculum and school programs. The primary contact with schools is through character education contacts, responding to requests, interpreting programs, and providing written updates. This office also serves as a liaison to the PTA, through the PTA character education chairperson, and the community. Professional development opportunities and workshops for school staff also are a focus area. A systemwide character education committee meets five times a year to provide direction and support for the character education program.
