Why Do You Ask?
Why do we ask you to sign up for the Editors' Resource Center?
Resources - as in, lack of.
The Communications Department staff is small, as is our budget. We have to apply our meager resources where they will have the most impact.
This necessitates that we track, as best we can, how effective our efforts are. Your sign up information, combined with the usage information, will allow us to gauge how effective the Editors' Resource Center is. If the resource center is effective, we'll continue to put the staff time into keeping it filled with fresh stories, photos and graphics. If the data shows that nobody uses the resource center, we'll shut it down and redirect that precious staff time to other projects.
