Minutes
The minutes for the meeting of February 18, 2000 are as follows:
1. At the start of the meeting, Jim Talton told the committee that he had met with the board of education and county commissioners in a joint meeting. He gave both groups a summary of the committee's work. He also mentioned that he did not know at this time what the committee's recommendations would be, but that he would be disappointed if they did not take the committee's recommendations seriously.
2. The committee discussed future meetings. They are as follows:

4. Don Walston asked if all of the schools could be grouped into categories according to their needs. The needs are based on immediate, short-term to mid-range and further out. The answer will be provided at the next meeting.
5. The committee discussed renovations with some of the items still under discussion.
6. Follow-up items are capping, double sessions and future superintendents.
