    THE Cary High School

I would like to welcome you to Cary High School, where we value Tradition, Honor, and Excellence.  We were the first public school in North Carolina and we take pride in celebrating our long history of graduating highly successful students and citizens.  Our school culture demands focus, curiosity, engagement, and hard work.  We believe that our school has a responsibility to support its community by serving others.  Cary High School provides many specialty programs that allow students to explore and hone their talents and interests, from performing on stage to excelling on the field.  We hope that you will find our website useful in learning about us and all of the wonderful opportunities awaiting you on our campus.

In our first year of having an FCCLA club at Cary High, we not only sent our team to State Competition where they won gold, but this freshman team also earned the right to go to National Competition in July.   Thousands of FCCLA members from across the nation converged to compete in a variety of national competitive events in Washington DC.  Our Imps Madison James and Kylie Hinz brought home the Bronze medal in their event "Environmental Ambassadors".  We are very proud of these two young ladies.  If you are interested in the growing FCCLA club please see Mrs. Hinz in room 201.  FYI nationals is in  San Diego  this year!

Summer Ventures - Chevonne Parker

Cary High was proudly represented by Chevonne Parker at the 2015 Summer Ventures at East Carolina University.  At ECU, there were 80 students participating in 6 areas of research.  Chevonne was one of 10 who participated in the bio-medical research at Brody School of Medicine, ECU.  At the completion of the research projects, the best paper was nominated from each of the 6 areas.  Chevonne successfully completed her research project on "Trichloroethylene and T-Cell Infiltration in the Cerebellum" .  Her paper was the best out of her group, which was then nominated to receive the "Catalyst Award".  Chevonne did an excellent job presenting her research project to a panel of professors who then selected the ultimate winner.  We are very proud that Chevonne was the finalist out of her group.  We say congratulations to Chevonne!  This is a reflection of the great job that teachers at Cary High School are doing.
