Twelve WCPSS middle schools were recognized as Winter Sportsmanship winners. The awards are based on a vote by the middle school winter sport coaches and athletic directors.

WCPSS Senior Administrator for Athletics Bobby Guthrie said the Sportsmanship Winners were described as welcoming, friendly, fair, respectful, accommodating and understanding. Athletes displayed good sportsmanship. Coaches did a great job of helping to control the score of the game and were very helpful with injuries. They made everything run smoothly and provided whatever was needed throughout competition.
