Dr. Stephen Colbert, Wake Early College of Health & Sciences teacher and 2012 Kenan Fellow, served on a panel entitled Realigning Learning at the 27th Annual Emerging Issues Forum at the Raleigh Convention Center on Feb. 6. The theme of the 2012 Emerging Issues Forum was Investing in Gen Z. The panel examined alignment of instructional strategies with how Generation Z learns and alignment of curriculum materials with what employers of Generation Z need. Also serving on the panel were Dr. Scott Ross, President of the NC Community College System and Dr. Anthony Carnevale of Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce.
Dr. Colbert was invited by the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) to serve on the panel on behalf of the Kenan Fellows Program for Curriculum and Leadership Development. He was also the guest of IEI at the NC Leadership Dinner held at the Contemporary Art Museum Monday evening.
