WCPSS before and after-school programs provide a safe, stimulating environment for students whose family situations require student supervision before and/or after the school day. Students who attend the regular day program are eligible for enrollment in the before- and after-school programs if they are four years old. Students whose fourth birthday occurs on or before October 16 of the current school year may enroll after their birthday. Students with a later fourth birthday may not enroll during the current year.
Most before-school programs begin at 7a.m. and end when the school day begins. After-school programs begin immediately following dismissal and end at 6 p.m. at each school. If school is closed early, the After-School Program will begin immediately following dismissal, weather permitting.
Fees for before- and after-school programs are based on the hours of operation at the individual school site. Fees for the Before-School Program are based on $1.75 per hour and fees for the After-School Program are based on $2.75 per hour. All fees are fixed to the nearest fifteen-minute increment and apply to all children in a family. Monthly fees are not prorated, and there are no refunds. There is a $10, non-refundable registration fee for before-school programs and a $15, non-refundable registration fee for after-school programs.
Student Enrollment Forms, Parent Information Sheets, and Payment Schedules are available at each site where there is a WCPSS Before- and After-School Program. Questions about fees should be directed to the individual school offering the programs.
