November	Community Engagement Meetings
Dec. 7	Present and post a draft Growth Management Plan. The proposal will be available online starting at 5 p.m.
December	Web comments on proposal accepted through January 1.
Jan. 8	The staff's 2008-09 Reassignment Plan is presented to the Board of Education.
January	The board will hold public hearings Tuesday, January 15 at Sanderson High; Thursday, January 17 at Green Hope High and Thursday, January 24 at Middle Creek High. Each public hearing will be held from 7-9 p.m.
February	Families in schools changing from traditional to year-round calendar will indicate their preference for track assignment.
Feb. 5	Final expected vote by Board of Education on Growth Management Plan
Feb 7	Kindergarten registration
Feb. 11-29	Magnet and calendar application period - all online
March	Year round schools distribute track assignment letters and “Request for Track Change” forms to parents
March 15	Parents informed of magnet/calendar application results
April	Year-round schools inform parents if track change is approved
April 13	Year-round schools must update track assignments on main frame
April 13	Last date for parents to decline a magnet/calendar offer
April 25	Main frame database is updated to reflect correct 2008-09 assignment for all students
May 15	Schools distribute official assignment strips to students
May 15-June 2	Transfer applications accepted
