Impact if Approved by the Board of Education
Some reassignment of the year-round application transportation area is proposed to shorten the distance and reduce overcrowding at West Lake. Nodes southwest of Willow Springs will be reassigned from West Lake to Willow Springs for year-round applications and approximately 75 students will be reassigned. These nodes are closer to Willow Springs.

Reasons for Staff Recommendations
Capacity: No change is planned for the sixteen mobile units at Willow Springs.
Crowding: Crowding was not a concern at this school in the development of these recommendations
Healthy Schools: The demographic mix of students was not a concern at this school in the development of these recommendations
Long Range Planning: The opening of Banks Road Elementary in 2009-10 will probably impact the assignment area for this school.
