Reasons for Staff Recommendations
Capacity: No change is planned for the six mobile units at this campus.
Crowding: Crowding was not a concern at this school in the development of these recommendations because Vance is now operating on a year-round calendar.
Healthy Schools: Staff believes the percentage of students from low-income families at this campus should increase to make the school more comparable to neighboring schools. The approved plan will increase the percentage from 21% to 30%.
Long Range Planning: The opening of Banks Road Elementary in 2009 is likely to impact the assignment area of Vance.
