No assignment changes are proposed for this school in these recommendations for 2008-09. However, one node's year-round application will change if the Board approves the reassignment of node 694.0 as a base node from Vandora Springs to Vance Elementary.

Reasons for Staff Recommendations
Capacity: No change is planned for the nine mobile units at Timber Drive.
Crowding: Crowding was not a concern at this school in the development of these recommendations. In calculating growth, the projection software applies the same growth factor to the year-round application students as it does to the students in base nodes. Since these are application students in a node and not base students, the impact of either losing or gaining students may not be as large as indicated.
Healthy Schools: The percentage of students from low-income families is slightly higher than the system average but lower than at other schools in that area of the county. Future school opening in this area will allow staff to bring this school's percentage of students from low-income families in line with other schools in the area.
Long Range Planning: The opening of Banks Road Elementary in 2009 and E31 in 2009 or 2010 may impact the assignment area of this school.
