Reasons for Staff Recommendations
Capacity: A six classroom modular unit is being added at the school to raise capacity. This increases the capacity of the school and allows full efficiency for the year-round calendar.
Crowding: Crowding was not a concern at this school in the development of these recommendations.
Healthy Schools: The percentage of students from low-income families is currently very low at 11%. The approved change will raise this percentage to approximately 15%.
Long Range Planning: Future schools opening in 2009, 2010, and 2011 are not expected to significantly impact the attendance area of this school.
