A spot node (685.0) that currently has no students residing within it will be reassigned from Millbrook to Green Elementary to consolidate the expanded Green base attendance area.

Reasons for Staff Recommendations
Capacity: No additional mobile units for Millbrook Elementary are proposed at the current time.
Crowding: Crowding was not a concern at this school in the development of these recommendations because enrollment can be controlled through the magnet school application process.
Healthy Schools: The percentage of students from low-income families at Millbrook is too high at 55%. The percentage could be reduced by expanding magnet program enrollment at the school which may require reduction in the base assignment area of the school or expansion of the school facility through mobile or modular classrooms.
Long Range Planning: The opening of E21 elementary school in 2010 may impact the base area of this school. Staff could not identify base nodes of significant size to reassign to other schools at this time.
