Reasons for Staff Recommendations

Capacity:  Lynn Road's renovation project will continue and ultimately increase capacity at the school by approximately 200 students.

Crowding:  Crowding was not a concern at this school in the development of these recommendations

Healthy Schools:  Reassignment of students from Brooks to Lynn, Lynn to Farmington Woods, and Lead Mine to Lynn will result in a decrease in the percentage of students from low-income families from 42% to 39%, which is comparable to neighboring schools.

Long Range Planning:  The renovation of Lynn Road will increase the school's capacity. The base area needs to be expanded or additional programs need to be placed at the school to fully utilize the additional capacity.
